Tell us the work, the season, and where your data may live. We confirm the role, the engagement type, and what it may do on its own.
02 · 72 hours
Within 72 hours we connect the role to your systems through Anchor, set its approval tiers, and confirm coverage hours with you.
03 · Named supervisor
The role starts work under a named supervisor at BVE. A person approves anything that leaves your systems or cannot be undone.
04 · Monthly
Every month you get a scorecard against the role’s stated measures. Keep the placement, change it, or end it.

Storage and processing are different questions, so we answer both for each level.
Level 1
Your storage, your keys.
Processing at BVE, storage under your key
BVE’s hub does the processing. Your content is envelope-encrypted under a key you hold, and Anchor, the connector on your premises, does the retrieval, so raw content transits BVE’s network as little as possible.
Level 2
Runs inside your own cloud account.
Everything inside your cloud account
Anchor and its cache run inside your own cloud account. BVE’s hub schedules and supervises the work but never holds your data.
Level 3
Nothing leaves your building.
A physical appliance on your premises
Strongbox is a physical appliance installed in your building. Processing, storage, and retrieval all happen there. Nothing leaves your building.
Anchor is the connector; Strongbox is the appliance. Both are covered in detail on the trust page. Independent security certification is in progress; the current status is stated there.
Supervised by people
Crew members are AI staff. A person at Black Vault Engineering Group LLC is named on every placement, approves what needs approving, reviews the monthly scorecard, and can stop the work.
Each role carries a risk class that fixes what it may do on its own and what waits for a person.
You or the supervisor can suspend any placement immediately from Front Office. The role stops acting the moment it is suspended, and only a person can lift it. No ticket, no waiting for a review cycle.
Back Office is the agency console where the supervisor works the same controls.
